dream of flying

We are most honored to be a corporate member of EAA Malaysia Flying Club. The club was established in 1992 and has been the premier club for all Ultralight and Kitplane related activities. Training for the Restricted PPL (RPPL) is conducted by EAA Malaysia. Comprehensive training for EAA Malaysia’s members is provided so they can enjoy flying safely. After all, our catch phrase is “Where the flying is fun!"

We will ensure that you receive sound aviation knowledge, yet we won’t let you get bogged down with extensive ground school and volumes of manuals. Therefore, we have developed a comprehensive 2 day ground school program to provide you the essential knowledge to start flying in a safe manner and we will continue to enhance your knowledge base through an on-going tuition and hands on approach to flying.

We have designed a package, created to simply things; we call it “Jumpstart Package”. Before you commit to this package, we will first require that you are medically fit to fly. You will require a Class 2 medical check is carried out by Medical Examiners approved by the Malaysian Department Civil Authority (DCA).

In Singapore: Medora Clinic at 115 Upper Paya Lebar Road
(Tel: + 65 6288 0035)
In Malaysia:   Any DCA Approved Medical Examiner

After the Class 2 medical is approved, we will provide the Jumpstart Package for new pilots. The Jumpstart Package is at 999SGD, which includes:

  1. Student Pilot License Processing Fees
  2. EAA Malaysia Flying Club Membership for one year
  3. Facilities Subscription

Solo Rates are RM330 (SGD140), Dual Rates, with an Instructor, are RM400 (SGD170)

1)  A fully refundable deposit of RM500 is required before flying.

2)  As soon as your SPL is issued, you may start clocking hours in the Jabiru J160. You only pay when you fly.

3)  The Restricted Private Pilot License ("RPPL") requires a 30 hour minimum flying time - 20 hours dual (with instructor), and 10 hours solo (all by your lonesome). This, however, is the MINIMUM. The average pilot will take around 40 hours before being competent enough to take the Check Flight with an Authorised Examiner. Some require less, others much more, depending on your aptitude and frequency of lessons.

4)  We require our students to take all 5 PPL Theory exams - Air Law, Radio Telephony Theory and Practical, Human Performance and Limitations, General Aircraft Technical, Meteorology and Navigation. This will allow Cross Country Navigation flights to be carried out and thus allow you to take the aircraft all around Malaysia.
