How do I know if flying is for me?

If you can drive and read sign boards, we don’t see why you can’t fly. Come take on our Experience flight and decide for yourself if flying is for you. We all started with no flying experience whatsoever, but we can still remember the very first solo flight, the sense of freedom and adrenaline, words cannot begin to describe it fully.

Can I be a pilot if I wear glasses?

The legal minimum requirement is 6/12 corrected - only slightly better than is required for a driver's license. Wearing eye glasses and contact lenses are acceptable for flying. In fact, many professional pilots wear glasses.

Statistics have shown that flying is actually safer than driving on the road.  It is safer in our light aircraft than in the car that you drove to the airport. The Jabiru aircraft is also widely used all around the world, especially in Australia. Our instructors are highly trained Instructors who will provide safe and effective training. We emphasizes safety above all else and our training reflects this.

Our location is at Nusajaya, Johor. 5 minutes from Second Link.

How long does it take to get licensed?

PPL (A) Restricted ("RPPL") requires a 30 hour minimum flying time - 20 hours dual (with instructor), and 10 hours solo (all by your lonesome). This, however, is the MINIMUM. The average pilot may take around 40 hours before being competent enough to take the Check Flight with an Authorised Examiner. Some require less, others more, depending on your aptitude and frequency of lessons.

If you are flying 2 hours every week, it will take you 15 weeks. However some full time students have completed all the training within a month.

Why is it not PPL but Restricted?

At the current moment we are only offering up to “RPPL” as it is all we require to start flying even for cross country flights in Malaysia. However we are planning to provide PPL in the near future, which will be additional 18 hrs of training in a Certified GA plane to upgrade to a PPL.

Why do PPL Restricted then?

There are many who drop out on the long training for PPL especially those on a part time basis and ends up with no proper license to fly. What’s good for RPPL is that it is the fastest and cheapest way to get a license to fly a plane, and yet we will also get you proficient to go cross country in Malaysia.
